Dr. Timothy Henderson is a board certified, fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon with a broad range of clinical specialties, which includes direct anterior minimally invasive hip replacement surgery – a technique that spares muscles and tendons and minimizes the risk of postoperative weakness or dislocations. Other areas of expertise include same-day/outpatient total hip and knee replacement, sports medicine, orthopedic trauma and general orthopedic care for adults and children.

A native of Livingston, NJ, Dr. Henderson has been providing surgical and non-surgical orthopedic care for a diverse patient population for more than 15 years. He is passionate about staying abreast of the latest technological advances in his field and he shares this expertise with patients, families, colleagues, medical students, and to those in need.

Dr. Henderson completed his formal education at George Washington University in Washington, DC. He then went on to complete his residency in Orthopedic Surgery at Emory University, where he was chosen to serve as Chief Resident. After residency, he completed his fellowship at the University of California in Los Angeles with a focus on sub-specialty care in sports medicine and arthroscopy, treating many of UCLA’s intercollegiate and future professional athletes. A leader in his field, Dr. Henderson has served as Chief of Orthopedics Surgery at Lourdes Medical Associates Orthopedics, as director of the department of Orthopedic Surgery and as chairman of the Orthopedic Finance Committee for Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center in Camden.

With career interests in international outreach, Dr. Henderson was part of the medical mission relief trip to Haiti following the 2010 earthquake. He is also passionate about youth education and has helped students at Morehouse School of Medicine gain exposure and residency opportunities in the field of orthopedic surgery.
