About Kimberly Tucker

Dr. Kimberly Tucker has specialized training in sports medicine, pediatric orthopedics, and general orthopedics. Dr. Tucker received her medical degree from Drexel University College of Medicine and completed her internship and residency training in orthopedic surgery at Rutgers University New Jersey Medical School in Newark. She then pursued post-graduate fellowship training in orthopedic sports medicine at the prestigious University of Pennsylvania and Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) combined program. Her background also includes three years of active duty in the U.S. military where she achieved the rank of captain. As a captain Dr. Tucker served as an engineer for the United States Air Force. This engineering background also provides Dr. Tucker a unique insight as she treats her patients.

In growing children, injuries and medical problems in the bones, muscles, ligaments, tendons, and joints (ie, musculoskeletal conditions) often are quite different from conditions more commonly seen in older patients. Special training and experience in pediatric sports medicine allows Dr. Tucker to appropriately treat the unique sports-related medical needs of children and teens. This training allows the growing athlete with the best possible care

Dr. Tucker has an interest in a myriad of sports injuries and conditions, including ligament and tendon injuries, joint instability, and cartilage restoration and preservation. She is skilled in cutting edge surgical techniques for cartilage injuries and restoration in both the adult and pediatric patient.
